Getting rid
of bed bugs isn’t as easy as it seems. In some cases, people use chemicals to
get rid of bugs. But do they know for how many days should we isolate them for?

There are

These chemicals can be hazardous when used indoors.
It is very

bugs.
Cold pressed Neem oil: -
This comes under
the category of biochemicals and it is free to use for all.
Pyrroles: -
This is a
very slow acting and limited efficacy product but it has no issue of resistance.
The only pyrrole pesticide for bed bugs registered in the U.S is chlorfenapyr.
Neonicotinoids: -
This is a
synthetic form of nicotine that affects the bed bugs nervous system.
Examples include
imidacloprid
Before buying a product, you should: -
- Check that it is EPA registered or not
- Check the label is bed bug mentioned or not
Follow the instruction
carefully before applying the product, so that it works more effectively.
Isolation period for products: -
- Pyrethrin and pyrethroids – it is biodegradable and has low toxicity so no need to isolate
- Boric acid – it is not safe for humans so don’t use products that you going to use
- Cold pressed Neem oil – it is totally safe to use and can be easily cleaned by hot water
- Neonicotinoids – after using this keep the product in broad sun light for 2 ways
