How many days should we keep the sprayed items in isolation which used to contain bed bugs?

Getting rid of bed bugs isn’t as easy as it seems. In some cases, people use chemicals to get rid of bugs. But do they know for how many days should we isolate them for? If no then here is the answer.

Chemical used for bed bugs: -

There are many chemicals available at online stores or from hard ware stores near you. These chemicals can be hazardous when used indoors.

It comes under the category of desiccants. It dries out the protective coating on bed bugs.

 

Cold pressed Neem oil: -

This comes under the category of biochemicals and it is free to use for all.

 

Pyrroles: -

This is a very slow acting and limited efficacy product but it has no issue of resistance. The only pyrrole pesticide for bed bugs registered in the U.S is chlorfenapyr.

 

Neonicotinoids: -

This is a synthetic form of nicotine that affects the bed bugs nervous system.

Examples include imidacloprid

• Check that it is EPA registered or not

• Check the label is bed bug mentioned or not
